instruction manual for a concrete product

i am a concrete product. i am strong but sensitive. i am a home accessory and part of the homework series made by bergnerschmidt. my surface will change colour and acquire the odd scratch – because i am alive. i get darker, more shiny or more rough. it’s in my nature – they call it patina.

i am like no other. a unique piece. i was handmade so my colour tones vary from time to time. vent holes are a character trait. put me in your flat, on your table, by the window, in your office. as long as i can be seen i am happy. do wipe me clean with a damp cloth, but don’t give me a bath. i cannot swim.

if you drop me, your floorboards might get dented, but i will probably get away with a small scratch - because i am tough. take it easy! i look forward to our time together.
